So 2 years later and these still look brand new. I have worn them in the ocean, pool, and lake with 0 tarnishing. I do rise with tap water when I am out of the water. The clasps that go around the glasses are still holding up strong as well.

Not Built To Last
The main reason that I gave this eyeglasses lanyard so low a rating is that, after less than five weeks of use the wire crimp failed at one of the clasps (see image 1; apologies for the blurred image, but its hard to tell what you have captured in a close-up on a 2" camera screen). Having passed a U.S.A.F. high reliability soldering course decades ago, I was able to make a solder repair (see image 2). I did both sides anticipating the other side to eventually fail as well. Having to make a repair so soon after a purchase would earn a no-star rating if that were available. In addition to having to make the repair, the eyeglasses lanyard's rubber (or whatever material) chain ends frankly just suck. They will not hold the lanyard in place on a thin temple and the plastic adjustment device on them cannot be crimped for a tighter grip...it will just shatter. I gave this item a two star rating due to the clasps made to hold the chain ends. After drilling the temples of the pair of eyeglasses the lanyard was intended for, the clasps work nicely to attach the lanyard to the temples in a desirable position (see image 3) and cannot slip.
